Cheri was born and raised in Colorado and was trained as a classical painter.  She still works in oils, watercolors, ceramic tile design, clay sculpture & 3D mixed media, but has also happily jumped into the world of digital art.

She calls it "painting with pixels"... but, as with her traditional artwork, her digital paintings are 'original' work... they are conceived and created on a blank "canvas".  This new and exciting journey into the world of technology and vibrant digital art has only expanded the possibilities of her artistic expression.  Cheri has won several awards and she had a miniature landscape painting accepted into the highly competitive Arts for the Parks, 2005, International Juried Competition in Jackson Hole, WY. 

Cheri is currently translating some of her digital art into large oil paintings along with continuing to enter numerous national juried shows.  She has a deep love for the Rocky Mountains and she regularly ventures into the wilderness to go fishing, camping and on photo shoots. She has a secluded cabin on a high mountain ranch to escape to for inspiration.  Cheri shares her studio in Colorado with her young Border Collie pups, named Miss Hatfield & Durango Jazz.
